Rigby Aubrey John
Born 26th December 1893 Nile Tasmania to John and Grace Ann Rigby (nee Higgins) a farm labourer who departed Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He was serving with the 49th Battalion when he was killed in action 7th April 1917 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France
