Riley, Joseph
Born 1867 Lancashire England the son of Joseph and Mary Riley (nee Palmer) and married to Jean Elizabeth Blaik, a miner who enlisted Claremont Tasmania he embarked Brisbane 17th August 1915 on board “HMAT Shropshire” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.
He died 6th October 1917 at the 2nd Canadian Clearing Station from a shell wound and fracture to the right thigh and was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Lijssenthoek, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
