John Meyrick Roberts

Born 1881 Deloraine Tasmania the son of Frederick Diprose and Jane Roberts of Ruahangate, Whangarei, New Zealanda farmer he enlisted Kensington New South Wales and embarked Sydney 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Euripides” with the 3^rd Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 19^th May 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated in the 4th Battalion Parade Ground Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey.
