Roberts, Robert Hugh

 

 

Born Launceston Tasmania the son of Robert Hugh and Agnes Mary Roberts nee Hughes) a miller from St Leonards he embarked Melbourne 8th February 1916 on board “HMAT Warilda” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he died 26th April 1918 from wounds received in the field and was buried in the Crouy British Cemetery, Crouy-Sur-Somme, France.
