Robinson, John

 

 

Born Moyhu Victoria the son of William and Phoebe Robinson Whitfield Victoria a miner living at North Lyell Tasmania who embarked Hobart Tasmania 20th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was serving with the 47th Battalion when he was killed in action 12th October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the The Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial
