Rock, Henry Charles

 

Born 3rd August 1884 Launceston Tasmania to Michael John and Mary Ann Rock (nee Green and married to Lila Mary Reid he departed Melbourne 29th December 1915 on board “HMAT Demosthenes” with the 15th Infantry Battalion 

He was killed in action 8th August 1917 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.

Tasmanian Casualties.

Mrs, Harry Rock, of 22 Balaclava street, Inveresk has been notified by the Defence Department through the Rev.Sharland that her husband, Private H. C. Rock, was killed in action in Prance on August 8. He had previously been reported missing
