Rockliff, Victor Trayson

 

 

Born 6th July 1891 Beaconsfield Tasmania the son of Alfred and Mary Martha Rockliff (nee Bird), a farmworker and miner he embarked Melbourne 27th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

Went missing in action at Moquet Farm which was later changed to killed in action 19th August 1916.  He is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
