Rossington, George Matthew
Born Manchester England but living in Lindsifarne Tasmania the son of John and Elizabeth Rossington a linesman he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He was killed in action 11th April 1917 (previously reported missing) at Bullecourt France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
