Rowell, Clyde Eugene

Born 28^th October 1898 Launceston Tasmania to William James and Emily Agnes Rowell (nee Cleaver) a clerk who embarked Melbourne 21^st November 1917 on board “HMAT Nestor” with the 4^th Machine Gun Company.

Was serving with the 12^th Battalian when he was hit in the back of the head 23^rd August 1918 by a piece of shell during the advance on Cappy and was killed instantly. He is commemorated in the Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.
