Russell, George Arthur

Born Kindred Tasmania the son of Arthur Henry and Mary Anne Russell (nee shadbolt) a farmer he embarked Hobart 13^th December 1915 on board “HMAT Ajana” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 12^th Infantry Battalion when he was killed in action 19^th September 1917 and is commemorated in the Hooge Crater Cemetery, Passchendaele, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
