Salmon, Colin Gordon Born 22nd June 1889 Launceston Tasmania the son of John and Clara Salmon (nee Nichols) he embarked Melbourne 25th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He was killed in action 28th March 1918 in France when he and several others were hit by a shell He is commemorated in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Peronne, France
