James Scanlon

 

 

Born 12th December 1886 Fentonbury Tasmania the son of James and Mary Anne Scanlon (nee Woolley) he was working in New Zealand when he enlisted in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.  He served Gallipoli, Egypt and France and was killed in action at Messines 8th May 1917.

 

He is commemorated in the St. Quentin Cabaret Military Cemetery.
