Selby, John Robert
Born 4th December 1893 Westbury Tasmania the son of James and Elizabeth Selby (nee Stewart) a farmer he departed Melbourne 28th January 1916 on board “HMAT Themistocles” with the 6th Field Artillery Brigade. He was later assigned to 2 DAC and then to the 17th Battery. He died 12th June 1917 at the No 7 General Hospital Omer France from a gunshot wound which fractured the skull and was buried in the Longuenesse (St Omer) Souvenir Cemetery, France.
