Seymour, Hobart Alfred

Born 22^nd October 1889 the son of James John and Isobel Sarah Seymour (nee Riley) a wood mill owner he embarked Hobart 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 3^rd Light Horse Regiment

On the 26^th August 1914 he was appointed Corporal

He died 12^th August 1915 on board H.S “Gascon” from wounds received at the Gallipoli Peninsula and was buried at sea (gunshot wound to the left arm and gas gangrene) He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
