Shadwick, Edney

Born 6^th July 1897 Lisdillon Tasmania the son of George Henry and Maria Shadwick (nee Kean) of “Glenelg” Gretna Tasmania a farmer he embarked Melbourne 25^th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion. He had also served with the 93^rd Infantry.

He died 1^st February 1917 in England from broncho pneumonia and was buried in the Durrington Cemetery, United Kingdom. He is also commemorated on the Gretna War Memorial.

SHADWICK. — Died of pneumonia, Edney, youngest son of George and the late Maria Shadwick, at Fargo Hospital, Salisbury..
