Shadwick, Edney
Born 6th July 1897 Lisdillon Tasmania the son of George Henry and Maria Shadwick (nee Kean) of “Glenelg” Gretna Tasmania a farmer he embarked Melbourne 25th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 40th Infantry Battalion. He had also served with the 93rd Infantry. He died 1st February 1917 in England from broncho pneumonia and was buried in the Durrington Cemetery, United Kingdom. He is also commemorated on the Gretna War Memorial. SHADWICK. — Died of pneumonia, Edney, youngest son of George and the late Maria Shadwick, at Fargo Hospital, Salisbury..
