Shearing, Thomas Edwin

 

Born 6th July 1894 Bagdad Tasmania the son of James and Rebecca Elizabeth Shearing (nee Ward) he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was serving with the Australian Army Medical Corps when he died 26th November 1919 at the Fovant Military Hospital England from malignant indocarditis and was buried in the Fovant (St George) Churchyard, Fovant, Wiltshire, United Kingdom

 

SHEARING.-On November 26, 1919, died (of malignant indocartis) at Fovant Camp Military Hospital, England, Private Thomas Edwin Shearing (late 40th. Batt. A.I.F.) dearly beloved second eldest son of Rebecca Shearíng and the late James Shearing of Bagdad. In the 26th year of his age after three years and nine months Active Service.
