Shearing, Mark

 

 

Born 28th March 1895 Dysart Tasmania the son of William Joseph and Margaret Anne Shearing (nee Paine) a farmer he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was appointed Lance Corporal 14th November 1917

 

He died 26th November 1917 at the 53rd Casualty Clearing Station from a bullet wounds to the head, hands and knee received at Messines and is commemorated in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension (Nord), Lille, Nord Pas de Calais, France
