Sheen, Ernest William
Born 1881 Chudleigh Tasmania the son of James and Elizabeth Sheen (nee Parsons) he embarked Melbourne 18th February 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. He was only in the field two months when he was killed in action 13th November 1916 in France and is commemorated in the AIF Burial Ground, Flers, Albert Bapaume Area, France Mr. and Mrs. James Sheen of Railton were yesterday advised that their eldest son, Ernest W. Sheen, was killed in action in France. Their second son has been invalided home having lost his right arm; while the third son is now on his way to the front. The Examiner 20th December 1916
