Sims, Harden James
Born North Motton Tasmania the son of Charles Richard Sims, a carrier he embarked Melbourne 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. On arrival at Suez on the 11th February 1916 he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and transferred to the 3rd Australian General Hospital. On the 11th April 1916 he was invalided back to Australia per “Karoola” for a medical discharge. He died 3rd July 1916 in Tasmania and was buried in the Tasmania (Hobart) Garden of Remembrance, Australia.
