Smith Albert Charles Edward
Born Nichols Rivulet Tasmania the son of William Henry Smith a labourer he enlisted Ross Tasmania and embarked Melbourne 28th January 1916 on board “HMAT Themistocles” with the 6th Field Artillery Brigade.
He served with the 93rd Infantry and was a grandson of the last Tasmanian aboriginal.
He was killed by shellfire 18th September 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Roisel Communal Cemetery Extension, Roisel, Picardie, France
