Smith, William Henry

The son of Henry Smith of Bradshaw’s Creek a 21 year old farmer at Pioneer he embarked Adelaide 10^th February 1917 on board “HMAT Seang Bee” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 5^th October 1917 in the Battle of Menin Road and like others with no known grave is commemorated on the The Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial (Panel 25), Belgium
