Smith, Charles Edward

Born 10^th June 1884 to Hugh and Annie Smith (nee Ireland) and married to Ella Grace (Holmes) he embarked Hobart on “HMAT Berrima 1^st July 1916 with the 40^th Battalion.

He was a trained sniper and was recommended for Sergeant 4^th October 1917. He was killed in action in Belguim shortly after on 12^th October 1917._
