SMITH, WILLIAM MIDDLETON

 

Private William Middleton Smith (No.5177) enlisted at York Plains, Tasmania on 12 January 1916. Embarked on RMS Orontes on 29 March 1916 in Melbourne, Victoria. Served with the 52nd Infantry Battalion. Killed in Action 27 March 1917 at Villers Bretonneux, France by artillery fire.
