Sneddon Tasman

 

 

Born 1897 Hobart Tasmania the son of Thomas and Charlotte Ann Sneddon (nee Truswell) a labourer he enlisted and embarked Melbourne 10th May 1915 on board “HMAT Euripides” with the 23rd Infantry Battalion.

 

He served in Gallipoli until December 1915 and then onto France.

 

He was killed in action 28th July 1916 at Pozieres in France and is commemorated in the Courcelette British Cemetery, Picardie, France
