 Studio portrait of 4949 Private (Pte) Henry George Sorarn, 15th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, of Ulverstone, Tas. Pte Sorarn, aged eighteen years, enlisted on 10 August 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Ballarat in Melbourne on 18 February 1916. On 25 July 1918 he was killed in action near Strazeele, France. His death is commemorated at the Villers Bretonneux Memorial in France.
