Speed, George
Born New Norfolk Tasmania to Alfred George and Rosie Speed (nee Kauban) a labourer who departed Hobart 8th August 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
Lance Sergeant Speed was killed in action 17th April 1918 in France and is buried in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, France.
