Born 12^th June 1891 Nubeena Tasmania to James and Henrietta Stacey (nee Davis) a farmer who departed Brisbane 29^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.

He had served in the Gallipoli campaign but died at the 8^th Casualty Clearing Station France 28^th April 1916 of pneumonia and was buried in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension (Nord), France.
