Standing John Albert Theodore
AKA Albert Standjkan Born 18th January 1884 Yarragon Victoria the son of Thomas and Norah Standing (nee Leeson) a labourer he enlisted Pontville Tasmania and embarked Hobart 20th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment
He died 8th August 1915 at the 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station from a shrapnel wound to the head received on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated in the Beach Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
