Stevenson, Lemuel Mervyn

Born 1894 Mersey Tasmania the son of John Mawer and Eliza Stevenson (nee McGinty) he embarked Adelaide 10^th February 1917 on board “HMAT Seang Bee” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 11^th Australian Machine Gun Corps when he was killed in action 28th January 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the London Rifle Brigade Cemetery, Comines-Warneton, Hainaut, Belgium.

His brother Lloyd Douglas Stevenson (No 7800) was killed in action 23^rd April 1918 and is commemorated in the Meteren Military Cemetery, Meteren, Nord, France.
