Story, Charles

Born Victoria but living in Tasmania when he enlisted, a farmer he embarked Melbourne 19th February 1915 on board “HMAT Runic” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

He died 13th September 1915 of Enteric Fever in the 19th General Hospital Alexandria and is buried in the Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.

Sorrow was expressed when the fact became known that Private Charlie Storey son of Mr and Mrs Storey of Lebrina had passed away at Alexandria at the age of 28 years.  Mr Storey was well known in this district and was much liked.  He was engaged in the Ringarooma Co-operative Factory for some time under Mr P Edgar.  Mr and Mrs Storey of Lebrina have the sympathy of all their Ringarooma and Talawa friends.
