North West Coasters with "A" Company 12th Battalion
Tasmanian Contingent Australian Expeditionary Force Born 28th July 1894 Wesley Vale Tasmania the son of John Joseph and Sarah Ann Stott (nee Clarke) a farmer he embarked Hobart 20th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. On 24th October 1914 he was appointed Sergeant. Sgt Stott was killed in action 25th April 1915 (previously reported missing) on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
