Stuart Horace Tasman

 

Born 21st November 1896 Longford Tasmania the son of Charles William and Mary Jemima Stuart (nee Perry) a clerk he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion and the rank of Company Sergeant Major.

Lieutenant Stuart died 13th March 1917 in England and was buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery, United Kingdom.  He was 20 years old.

STUART.-In loving memory of our dearly loved only son and brother, Lieutenant H. T. Stuart, who died in The Duchess of Westminster 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth while on active service, March 13th, 1917. Too dearly loved to be forgotten.
