Sullivan Thomas Bruce

 

 

Born 21st. October 1898 Pt Frederick Tasmania to Thomas Francis and Louisa Matilda Sullivan (nee Christenson), he enlisted Melbourne and embarked 27th October 1915 on “HMAT Ulysses” with the 24th Infantry Battlion.

He died of wounds received 15th November 1916 and was buried Thistle Dump Cemetery, High Wood, Longueval, France

Private Williams 4266 stated “At Flers on November 15th in the evening.  Sullivan was hit in the back of the head by a piece of shell.  He was bandaged and taken to the dressing station by two of the company and was unconscious when taken away.  Informant heard next morning that Sullivan died at the dressing station”
