Swain, William John
Born 28th April 1884 Longford Tasmania to George and Margaret Jane Swain (nee Barker) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 2nd February 1915 on board “HMAT Clan McGillivray” with the 5th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action 23rd July 1916 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
