Swain, William John

Born 28^th April 1884 Longford Tasmania to George and Margaret Jane Swain (nee Barker) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 2^nd February 1915 on board “HMAT Clan McGillivray” with the 5^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 23^rd July 1916 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
