Targett, Richard Henry

 

Born 15th November 1882 St Mary’s Tasmania to Richard and Anne Targett (nee Deacon) and married to Hannah Spencer he departed Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion

 He was killed in action 25 January 1917 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France

TARGET.-In sad and loving memory of our dear brother Private Richard Henry Targett, who was killed in action in France on January 26, 1917. Inserted by his loving brother Joseph Targett, and sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and James Pilgrim, St. Marys.
