If you could spare a few dollars to help with the running costs of hosting this website to keep it alive would be very much appreciated.

Thankyou from Gravesites of Tasmania in advance.

Taylor, Aubrey John William

Born 6th November 1893 Barrington Tasmania to William (dec) and Clara Emily Taylor (nee Heath) a farm labourer who departed Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion

He was killed by a shell while on a working party at Messines Ridge and buried Kandahar Farm Cemetery, Belgium.

The sad news was conveyed to Mrs Heath Nine Mile Road, Blyth on Monday that Aubrey Taylor, one of her triplet sons— all of whom were fighting for King and country— had been killed in action. The brave lad was about 21 years of age, and was well known in the Ulverstone district. He left with the Tasmanian Battalion last year. The sympathy of the district goes out to all our bereaved ones in their time of sorrow.
