Thompson, Herbert Lewis

Born Latrobe Tasmania the son of George and Clara Thompson and married to Agnes Florence Gardiner, a butcher he embarked Melbourne 4^th August 1917 on board “HMAT Themistocles” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 40^th Battalion when he died 16^th November 1918 from broncho pneumonia at the 3^rd Australian General Hospital France and was buried in the Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension, France
