Thompson, Herbert Lewis
Born Latrobe Tasmania the son of George and Clara Thompson and married to Agnes Florence Gardiner, a butcher he embarked Melbourne 4th August 1917 on board “HMAT Themistocles” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. He was serving with the 40th Battalion when he died 16th November 1918 from broncho pneumonia at the 3rd Australian General Hospital France and was buried in the Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension, France
