If you could spare a few dollars to help with the running costs of hosting this website to keep it alive would be very much appreciated.

Thankyou from Gravesites of Tasmania in advance.

Tolman, Owen Stanley

Born 28th February 1892 Hobart Tasmania to Edward and Janet Tolman (nee Watt) he was a labourer living at Battery Point when he enlisted and was posted to the 26th Battalion.  He embarked Brisbane 5th October 1915 on HMAT Warilda”.

He was wounded in action at Pozieres 29th July 1916 and died from those wounds 10th August 1916 at the 3rd. Casualty Clearing Station France.

His brother Mostyn was in the same trench as Owen when the latter was wounded.  Mostyn’s life was saved due to a metal mirror in his pocket.
