Toombs, William George
Born 5th May 1892 Fingal Tasmania to George and Catherine Toombs (nee Wright) he embarked Melbourne 4th April 1916 on “HMAT Euripides” with the Mining Corps [Nos 1-1447] and 1 to 3 Reinforcements.
Sapper Toombs was admitted to the No 4 General Hospital 28th January 1917 suffering from broncho pneumonia and died on the 12th February 1917.
He was buried in the British Military Cemetery Etaples on the 13th February 1917.
