Trickett, Russell

Born 11^th February 1889 Ulverstone Tasmania to William Thomas and Amelia Trickett (nee Russell) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 19^th February 1915 on board “HMAT Runic” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion bound for Gallipoli.

On the 29^th May 1915 he was taken on board the hospital ship “Franconia” with bomb wounds to both legs. On the 6^th Aug 1915 he rejoined his battalion at Gallipoli was killed in action 8^th August 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
