Trickett, Russell
Born 11th February 1889 Ulverstone Tasmania to William Thomas and Amelia Trickett (nee Russell) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 19th February 1915 on board “HMAT Runic” with the 15th Infantry Battalion bound for Gallipoli. On the 29th May 1915 he was taken on board the hospital ship “Franconia” with bomb wounds to both legs. On the 6th Aug 1915 he rejoined his battalion at Gallipoli was killed in action 8th August 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
