Troon John James

Born 21^st May 1883 Launceston Tasmania the son of James and Catherine Troon (nee Dawson) married a labourer he embarked Melbourne 27^th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion.

Having problems with a hernia overseas he returned to Australia 4^th May 1917 on the H.S “Runic” for home service and was finally discharged 22^nd August 1917

He died 13^th April 1919 at the Base Hospital Hobart Tasmania and was buried in the Cornelian Bay Public Cemetery, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
