Troon John James
Born 21st May 1883 Launceston Tasmania the son of James and Catherine Troon (nee Dawson) married a labourer he embarked Melbourne 27th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 15th Infantry Battalion.
Having problems with a hernia overseas he returned to Australia 4th May 1917 on the H.S “Runic” for home service and was finally discharged 22nd August 1917
He died 13th April 1919 at the Base Hospital Hobart Tasmania and was buried in the Cornelian Bay Public Cemetery, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
