Trowbridge Henry Charles
Original grave marker of 998 Trooper (Tpr) Henry Charles Trowbridge, 5th Reinforcements, 3rd Light Horse Regiment, of Branxholme, Tas. A grocer's assistant prior to enlisting on 29 January 1915, he embarked from Adelaide aboard HMAT Botanist on 2 June 1915. Tpr Trowbridge died of wounds on 1 November 1917, at Beersheba, aged 22 years. His brother-in-law, Lieutenant Charles Daniel Lucas, 12th Battalion, was killed in action on 25 July 1916 at Pozieres. At the head of each grave a gum tree has been planted.
