Turbet, Claude Douglas
Born Hobart Tasmania the son of William and Annie Turbet a mattress maker living in New South Wales he enlisted Paddington and embarked Sydney 8th October 1914 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 1st Field Company Engineers.
He was killed in action 8th August 1915 and is commemorated in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
