Turbet, Claude Douglas

Born Hobart Tasmania the son of William and Annie Turbet a mattress maker living in New South Wales he enlisted Paddington and embarked Sydney 8^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 1^st Field Company Engineers.

He was killed in action 8^th August 1915 and is commemorated in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
