Venn, John Henry

Born 1893 Rhyndaston Tasmania to Mathew Sylas and Matilda Venn (nee Harding) and married to Hilda May Williams, a farmer who embarked Melbourne 23^rd November 1916 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 2^nd Pioneer Battalion.

He was killed in action 13^th June 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery, France.

His brother Pte Mathew Sylias Venn (No 607) was killed in action 15^th December 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Lindenhoek Chalet Military Cemetery, Belgium.
