Walch, Garnet

Born 12^th March 1896 Hobart Tasmania the son of Charles Morrice and Aida Louisa Augusta Walch (nee Bailey) a pastoralist living at Swansea Tasmania he embarked Melbourne 4^th May 1916 on board “HMAT Port Lincoln” with the 13^th Field Artillery Brigade.

He was killed in action 25^th October 1917 at Westhoek Ridge, Ypres, Belgium

And is commemorated in theThe Huts Cemetery, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium
