Walker, Albert Ernest

Born 1895 Lilydale Tasmania the son of Henry and Mary Christina Walker (nee Dornauf) a farm labourer he embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He spent 3 years in the 92^nd Infantry Company and was appointed Lance Corporal 21^st July 1918

He died 1^st September 1918 at the 9^th Field Ambulance in France from shell wounds to the chest and abdomen. and is commemorated in the Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, Daours, Somme, France
