Walsh Richard Edward

 

 

Born 1887 Westbury Tasmania the son of Francis and Margaret Walsh (nee Delaney) a drill instructor living in Western Australia he embarked Fremantle on board “HMAT Suevic” with the 44th Infantry Battalion.

Lt Walsh was killed in action 8th June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Bethleem Farm East Cemetery, Belgium.

WALSH.-Killed in action, on 8th June, Lieutenant Richard Edward Walsh, AIF dearly loved fifth son of Margaret and the late Francis Walsh, Westbury Tasmania, aged 30 years. Rl.P. West Australian papers please copy.
