Ward, Herbert Alexander

 

 

Born 2nd September 1887 Hobart Tasmania to William Herbert and Margaret Ward (nee Cunningham) their only son, a stockman and clerk who embarked Melbourne 15th September 1915 on board SS Makarini with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment.

He was killed in action 9th August 1916 at Bir-el-ab Egypt and is commemorated on the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
