Watling, Alfred Mapping our Anzacs
Born 1894 Kempton Tasmania the son of Theodore and Elizabeth Watling (nee Oliver) a labourer who embarked Melbourne 22nd December 1914 on board “HMAT Ceramic” with the 15th Infantry Battalion. He died 7th August 1915 from wounds to the abdomen and arm received on the Gallipoli Peninsula and was buried in the Embarkation Pier Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
