Watson, Alfred Ernest

Born 22^nd Nov 1871 Hobart Tasmania to Joseph William and Mary Watson (nee Grant_ and a 34 year old carpenter. He embarked Fremantle on HMAT Argyllshire 19^th April 1915 with the 12^th Infantry Battalion

An enquiry into his death in France stated

“Sapper Watson accidentally met his death on railway line to Laventie on the morning of 17/9/16 and no blame attached to any person or persons for said death”

He was buried Anzac Cemetery Sailly-Sur-La-Lys.
